Monday 18th October. Hello to all guests and friends. I have now given up my part time job so will be much better at updating our news and information about the farm, cottages, activities, conservation and wildlife here at Nannerth. My twitter page even has 3 new Tweets since yesterday evening. We miss Blue who has been a constant shadow around the place, tending to hang out in places where she might get a treat or the chance of a walk with guests. Layla who provides hands on Falconry sessions here on the farm was recently a successful candidate on Dragons’ Den receiving investment to increase her breeding birds and take on more work around the country. The falconry experiences are very popular with all ages and physical abilities; Layla adjusts her sessions to suit the guests, making sure everyone can participate fully. Sessions range from 2 hours to a whole day, are limited to small groups and refreshments are included on the longer events. See www.hawksdrift.co.uk for more info. There is an indoor area in the old cowshed which falconry guests use for handling and learning about the birds prior to the walks. Soon to be adorned with old farm implements and photos, this room will be a multipurpose resource for our holiday guests and others. |
