THE HEART OF MID WALES
Nannerth Fawr Farm is in the upper Wye Valley, 3.5 miles north west of the market town of Rhayader or Rhaeadr Gwy. In the heart of Welsh ‘kite country’ we border the Elan Valley and are surrounded by the hills and moors of the Cambrian Mountains. The seaside university town of Aberystwyth is an hour to the west; Hereford and the beautiful marches an hour to the east; Snowdonia lies to the north and the Brecon Beacons to the south.
October 16th - 19th 2014....
What a fantastic place - it is breathtaking! We feel like we have stayed in the Alps - it is stunning.
Accommodation is excellent - extremely comfortable, very warm. Good food, good company, good surroundings - what more do we need! We will be back.
Converted from the original farm buildings, the 4* holiday properties have the well built and attractive feel of stone, slate and oak, combined with high quality furnishings and fittings. Each has its own garden area and easy access to the farmyard facilities. Prices are inclusive of heating, electricity and linen.
Astonishingly beautiful countryside dotted with traditional family farms, secret valleys and wild moorland above. Paths and bridleways cross the hills and ancient woodlands cling to the slopes. It's all here for visitors to explore, on foot, horseback, bike or car.
On the farm, friendly farm animals, wild places to explore, fantastic walks, excellent birdwatching and the river Wye to paddle or swim. Within 15 minutes there are many attractions around Rhayader and the Elan Valley or travel a bit further for the coast or castles and famous towns like Hay on Wye.
